What is the Circle Invalid Data feature in Excel 2007? The Circle Invalid Data feature only works on a range of cells that has been setup using the Data Validation feature. The Data Validation feature has many options to test and valid that data being entered into a cell meets the criteria you set. The least of which is after this has been set is to use the feature to Circle Invalid Data. For example, if the data in a cell is supposed to be a whole number, and using the Data Validation feature it can be set to circle data entered into the cell that isn't a whole number i.e. text.
