What is a nested IF in Excel 2007 and how do I set it up? First of all you need to know or learn more about the IF function. This function is an if a logical test is performed like if cell A1 is greater than or equal say 50, then do this if it's true, or do this if it's false. That's over simplifying it, but you get the idea I hope. Now there may be times where you want a test if it's false to perform another test, an if that's false then perform another etc. And that's where you'd embed or nest and IF function within and IF function, embedded in another and so on; until you satisfy you test.
