How do I wrap text in a cell in Excel 2007? By default when you type text within Excel the text will keep stretching out horizontally, until it hits another cell that has data in it, and in which case the cell will appear cut off. When you set a cell's text to "wrap" then the text will stretch only as far as the width of the cell and then wrap around, and stretch the cell vertically to fit all the text contained within that cell. To apply this type of formatting to any cell, first select the cell or range of cells and then on the Home Tab, to Cells group, click the Format button to Format Cells and click the Alignment Tab and check the "Wrap Text" box. You can also right click that cell to Format Cells too!
