How do you create a file or a folder to store other files and folders in Windows Vista? It's easy to create a folder in Windows Vista by finding a blank area on your computer's Desktop and right clicking, then in the shortcut pop up menu left click on New, and then click on Folder. Once you clicked on the folder, a new folder with a generic name "New Folder" will be added to your Desktop for you to store your files and other folders within. To rename your folder simply right click the folder and click "Rename," and then the folder's name will be highlighted in a dark blue, prompting you to just start typing and you text will overwrite the default folder's text!
