What is Windows Explorer, and how does it "explore" Windows Vista? First Windows is what you get when you open up any program, file or folder, a "window" to view again that program, file, or folder. So Windows Vista has a way you can view all your folders and some programs all in one "exploring" view. This "explore" view is accessed by right clicking on any folder, or even the Start menu and left clicking on "Explore" in the shortcut menu. This opens up a hierarchical structural view of all the folders found on your computer. This hierarchical structure is found on the left side of your "explore" window, and in the right hand side is a window that exposes or reveals all the items within selected folder.
